Our private equity business includes two funds: Discovery Americas I, fully invested, and Evercore Mexico Capital Partners II (EMCPII), in investment stage.
Investment Strategy
EMCPII invests between $10 and $30 million dollars per transaction. Our goal is to generate attractive risk-adjusted returns under the following investment approach:
Focus on business fundamentals and risk management:Our target is to invest in companies with strong fundamentals and clear growth potential.
Focus on value creation:We devote considerable time and resources working with our portfolio companies to define their business strategy, allocate capital and other resources, evaluate expansion alternatives, acquisition opportunities and participate in the execution of these plans.
Use of Protego’s relationship network and proprietary origination:We employ our vast relationship network throughout the investment process to originate investments, evaluate opportunities and add value after an investment is made. We increase the breadth and depth of our network with our Advisory Committee and the collective experience of our investment team. Thanks to Protego’s relationship network all investments have been sourced on a non-competitive basis.
Fund companies institutionalization:We attract first class CEOs and executives. We professionalize management teams incorporating world class techniques and operational processes.
